The Archie comics have been around nearly 70 years and for the duration of the past 7 decades, Archie has been the luckiest redheaded man ev-er. Archie is an awkward freckled teenage boy who has no real definable talent or looks to speak of, yet he has Riverdale High’s two hottest girls constantly battling over him. It’s the age old battle of blonde versus brunette. Though, I’d consider Veronica more raven than anything else. Over the last 70 years Archie has had on and off relationships with both of them. What I don’t get is how these women STILL want him. He is continually leaving one for the other and has nothing to offer. In some screwed up universe these girls think its cute and endearing to sell out your friends, always be late, do badly in school, and just all around lack work ethic and ambition. I hope when the series does come to an end both of these women smarten up and see the truth: a life in Archie’s parents basement with ginger kids. Despite my feelings about Archie specifically, as a child I loved this comic series. I remember going to my dads house for the weekend and he’d have the newest Archie comic waiting. For the first time in my life, I discoveredArchie Halloween Costumes. I couldn’t believe my eyes, they even have Betty and Veronica Costumes. So even though adult me hates Archie, I can’t help but think this is such a cool and uniquehalloween costumeidea.

Captain America, I suspect, is going to be a very popular costume this Halloween. Expect to seeCaptain America Costumeson the young and old, men and women! In the 2011 hit, the little guy Steve Rogers, becomes the subject of a scientific military experiment to make a small man with a good soul, become big in body and even bigger in heart. Captain America protects the world from the nazi HYDRA leader Red Skull. I don’t want to ruin the plot for those who haven’t seen it, but Steve Rogers and his trustyCaptain America Shieldkick nazi ass.

2011 has been an amazing year of movies, and when this happens Halloween becomes all that much more creative and lively. First on my list ofHalloween Costumeinspiring movies is Black Swan. This costume would be so easy to make with a black body suit, black tutu, and some dramatic makeup. Black Swan is a movie about the dark side of such a beautiful art. The main character Nina Sayers, played by Natalie Portman does an amazing job showing the physical struggle and eventual mental breakdown under the pressure of trying to succeed in the world of professional dance. This movie has everything a Halloween theme could want; its sexy, deceitful, dark, and psychologically thrilling. This Halloween I have no doubt we will see some tortured ballerinas inspired by this amazing film.
