There is something so alluring about witchcraft. Whether you’re interested in dark or light magic, there are plenty of discoveries to be had. I remember being a young girl; long before Sabrina the Teenaged Witch was around, and longing for supernatural powers. The ability to fly, to make potions that could cure, to be recognized and revered. I once dreamt at an early age that I was adopted and was actually born to a family of witches and warlocks. All I had to do to fly was click my knees together and jump. Surprisingly, despite my great interest in witches as a child, I never dressed in akids witch costume. Even today I have yet to adorn awitch costume. Perhaps I will dedicate this years costume to the iconic, never over done, supernatural woman.

After listening to The Bangles 1986 #1 chart topper “Walk Like An Egyptian”, it got me thinking thatEgyptian Costumesare definitely an all time classic costume. I mean the Egyptians lived thousands of years before us. Plenty of time to inspire costumes. Beautiful head pieces and dramatic makeup, the Egyptians clearly had an eye for fashion. Much like their historic inspiration The Bangles also had a flare for dramatic fashion. They were popular in what will be one of the most memorable decades of music and fashion.80’s costumeshave already been mimicked for 10 years and will continue for thousands just like the Egyptians.

Captain America, I suspect, is going to be a very popular costume this Halloween. Expect to seeCaptain America Costumeson the young and old, men and women! In the 2011 hit, the little guy Steve Rogers, becomes the subject of a scientific military experiment to make a small man with a good soul, become big in body and even bigger in heart. Captain America protects the world from the nazi HYDRA leader Red Skull. I don’t want to ruin the plot for those who haven’t seen it, but Steve Rogers and his trustyCaptain America Shieldkick nazi ass.
