 Cat girl
Growing up, most of us had a pet of some kind. Whether it was a dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, fish, snake, lizard or rat; you loved the thing, and you know it. This is probably why most of us are animal lovers at heart. If it wasn’t because of a pet, then it was because of all those cute storybook/disney/pixar characters that found their way into our conversations and games when we were younger. To this day we still can’t help but go “aww” when a kitten does something cute or laugh when we hear about a snake that has eaten something ridiculously too big and tried to pretend like it was just going about it’s normal business afterwards. Or maybe you hate all animals? You’d still agree that the playboy bunnies are good, right? Well there you go, your favorite animal is a bunny.
So for this Halloween, when you’re thinking about what you want to dress up as; why not pick an animal?
For women this usually goes in the same direction; put on something cute and skimpy, and add the appropriate ears attached to a headband to denote what animal you are. Bunnies, cats, mice, or perhaps antenna and wings for a ‘sexy bee costume’. There are plenty out there to purchase, but like I said, not many of them will be very covering. If you’re a more modest individual, it might be best to put together an outfit yourself, and only purchase the accessories you need. It might be cheaper that was as well.
For men it’s a little more complicated. Of course you could always go in a full out mascot costume and get lots of hugs from the party goers (it’s like hugging a big teddy bear!), or you could try something a little more creative. For example, a ‘bad dog’ with a spiked collar, floppy dog ears and a metal band t-shirt. Or just wear the ears and a leash and see how many people will take you for a walk.
Regardless of what you do, being an animal this Halloween might be a lot of fun! Give it a shot.

You remember being knocked out, hit over the head or perhaps in the chest with something large and heavy. Or maybe… maybe it just felt large when it hit you, perhaps it was very small. You might have been shot. You remember bleeding, yes, and a disturbingly cold feeling creeping from your insides out; but you do not remember what happened after that. All you know is that you’re awake again, and this place is very musty and dark. It’s soft though, like a cushion of some kind is underneath you. Which means that though you remember last being on a floor, it is not a floor that you are currently lying on.
 buried alive
You move your hand slightly to the right and are startled when it hits something silk and soft. You wonder for a moment if there could be another person lying next to you and it is their dress you have grazed with your hand. You again touch this area and push down, but instead of flesh underneath the silk you feel more cushioning. You move your left hand and experience the same. You try to sit up but before you can even reach a thirty degree angle your head connects with more of this soft cushioning. You push your hands up against it and slowly begin to realize where you are.
The musty air, the lining of the inside of this box that you are in. They all must have assumed you were dead. They must have buried you alive thinking that you had gone to the other world. Panic sets in quickly and you begin using up what little air was left in the confined area. You scream and you bang on the ceiling of your coffin with all of your might but there is no way out.
May we reconvene under the blood red moon,
-Black Widow

 Clowns
When you think of fearsome movie monsters I bet this one doesn’t pop into your mind, but it is nevertheless something that many people fear. They dress in bright colors, paint their faces, and are meant to inspire joy in children… but more often than not they inspire such deep fear that these children continue to be afraid well into adulthood. I’m talking about clowns, and the movies like IT that gave us terrible complexes about them.
The easiest way to do a clown costume for Halloween is to buy it, to be honest. There are many different ‘clown outfits’ available, and the difference between making yourself into a regular clown and making yourself into an evil scary clown is the face paint. Perfectly painted circles, teardrops, stars and triangles on your face would be sufficient to be a clown, and scary on a very casual basis. But a more smeared or jagged way of face painting (maybe something similar to the joker in The Dark Knight …without actually ripping it off of course) would make for a scarier clown. The more it looks like someone mentally unsound put that make-up on, the more unnerving it will be for everyone you encounter; especially if you make a point to smile big and develop some kind of deranged laugh.
If you really didn’t want to fuss with paint or a wig though, there are plenty of masks available that will scare the living **** out of your friends (or the neighborhood children). Not everyone has Jim Carey’s ability to make wild facial expressions at the drop of a hat, and the makeup can only do so much to accentuate parts of your face. But with a mask you don’t have to worry about how you look underneath. It takes care of all the features for you.
